Item Description
A rather rare lens especially in this mount. The lens also came out as the Rollei Tele Tessar and Carl Zeiss Tele Tessar, which is the original. All 3 versions were made for the Rollei/Voigtlander SLR camera series in the 1970-1980s in the Rollei QBM mount. Some Voigtlander and Zeiss were also made in M42 mount, this is the M42 version.
The problem with the lens is the focusing mechanism. It focuses at infinity a bit off the infinity marking (around 20m) and it also goes beyond the minimum focusing distance. A screw that would limit the movement of the barrel is cracked i think.
The lens is clean and has no dust inside. Aperture blades have no oil. There is one ding on the aperture ring, and one on the leatherette, otherwise no other marks.
The lens is very sharp (as expected from a Zeiss) and has nice colours. Bokeh is surprisingly smooth for the moderate aperture.
Included is also a m42/pk bower adapter and 3rd party front and back caps.
