Rokinon 8mm Fisheye

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Rokinon 8mm Fisheye

Asking Price
220 (PP Gift or add 3%)

Item Location
Chicago (United States)

Item Description
Rokinon 8mm fisheye in excellent, almost like-new condition. Glass is clean, clear and free of any blemishes. The lens barrel and cap are also in great condition with no marks whatsoever.

Focus ring is not calibrated, but it's widely reported that these lenses all come like that from the factory which doesn't calibrate the focus ring for each lens mount. It's a simple fix involving a couple of screws (http://www.versacorp.com/vlink/jcreview/sy8rv9jc.pdf) but you can do what I did and tape the ring down set to around 2m which will get pretty much everything in focus.

Aw man... I just bought one of these new yesterday thinking there wasn't much chance of seeing one on the marketplace soon. Ain't that always how it works!

One thing I thought I'd mention (and having not received the lens yet, I can't speak personally about it) is the calibration of the focus ring. One of the reviews here on the forum gives an interesting reason why you might not want to permanently adjust it ( Samyang 8mm F3.5 Fisheye CS Lens Reviews - Miscellaneous Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database .) Just food for thought for the buyer to consider.

Best of luck on the sale!

A shame.. why don't you cancel the sale or return the item?

Yeah what I did with this lens is I just gaffer taped the focus ring at the sweet spot and left it as such.
