Item Description
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 HSM II in excellent condition. Glass is pristine with no visible dust inside, no peeling or obvious wear on the lens itself either. When I bought it used it had a lens separation problem on the edges which didn't affect the performance. I sent it to Sigma to fix in December and they replaced the problem glass pieces and now the lens is perfect.

Zoom ring is super smooth and the focus ring is well damped. Focus is speedy on the K-5, a marked improvement over the Tamron 70-200 which I used to own. I don't use the petal hood at all so it's been sitting in its box unused so there's no wear on it at all. The lens has been protected by a Kenko Pro1D protector filter since I got it so the front element has no marks or scratches - no chance!

I've taken many great photos with this lens, and would not sell it if not for the fact that I'm switching systems altogether.

It comes with the original box and unused lens pouch. No photos of that for now as it's stored at my gf's place. Lens was bought last Feb but from Overstock.com which is not a Sigma dealer. I'm not sure if Sigma USA will realize and not give the extended warranty, or if they'll treat it as a Sigma USA lens and warranty it for the next 3 years. They didn't mention anything out of the ordinary when I sent the lens in for warranty work, and it came back in less than a week (impressive!) so I think the chance of them not realizing is pretty good.

Add $20 for the Kenko Pro1D protector 77mm low-profile filter (same as Hoya Pro1D) and 77mm metal lens hood which I use to protect the filter from bumps while keeping the lens not too huge


(dark bit on the gold ring is not a flaw, it's a reflection off a dark thing)
