Tamron 300mm f/2.8 (360B), 2x TC, P/KA adapter

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron 300mm f/2.8 (360B), 2x TC, P/KA adapter

Asking Price
$800 + shipping

Item Location
Toronto (Canada)

Item Description
After some indecision, I've decided I will let these go as individual components. There is still a deal to be had for all three at once, if they aren't bought separately beforehand.

Tamron Adaptall SP 300mm f/2.8 LD-IF (360B)
An excellent condition, manual focus Tamron Adaptall 300mm f/2.8 lens w/ original hood, soft case, palm rest and caps! As you can see in the photos below, this is the dark grey "360B" version (see here for details on the model) and the original owner told me it was bought new in 2005. The glass still looks like new, with no marks or flaws whatsoever, and the focusing and aperture action are solid and smooth.

The lens has a built-in focus limiter, solid metal tripod ring, and a 43mm drop-in filter holder with its original "clear" filter installed. There are a few small scuffs on the exterior of the hood, and a scratch that is visible on the body, but otherwise it shows few signs of use (see the photos).
*Note: the arca lens plate shown is not included with the lens!

Tamron Adaptall 2x Teleconverter 01F
With this 2x teleconverter (which is nearly mint), the lens above becomes a 600mm f/5.6 lens. See the shot of Arctic Wolves for what it can do, wide open. Incredibly sharp in the center and well controlled aberrations (better than the Pentax 1.7x AFA on this lens!).
$50 (or $35 if bought w/ 300mm above)

Tamron Adaptall P/KA adapter
A perfectly functioning Tamron P/KA mount (hard to find) that allows the any Adaptall lens (including the above 300mm and 2x TC) to be seen as an "A" lens with full automatic aperture control, all metering modes, and proper EXIF reporting on Pentax DSLRs. This one has never shown the dreaded "F--" on my K-5 or K20D, no wiggling required.
$80 (or $50 if bought w/ 300mm above)

And some sample photos! (See this post for 100% crops of these images)

300mm/2.8 by itself:
