PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sears Auto m42 50mm f/1.4 EE

Asking Price
US$85

Item Location

Item Description
For sale is one very nice Auto Sears EE 50mm f/1.4 m42 prime. It is a rebadged Rikenon and was Tomioka-manufactured.

Exterior shows moderate handling wear/scuffing. Glass is clean and free of scratches, haze, and fungus. Focus is smooth, and aperture blades are clean and snappy. This one features the Rikenon EE Aperture lever and no A/M switch. If you would like to use this on digital let me know, and I can disable the mechanism to allow stop-down aperture control.

In testing, this lens is super sharp!

I'm surprised nobody has snapped-up the 55/1.4 yet. It's a fantastic lens. DOF is very slightly THINNER than the fabled K and A 50/1.2; bokeh isn't quite as superb, but it's still fine. I've had two of them (one only cost me US$2.25!) and the one I'm keeping will need to be pried from my cold dead fingers -- but there's no rush.

The 50/1.4 also has a good reputation. C'mon people, don't let these gems get away!

I, too, can vouch for 55's greatness.
It's great!

Bumping Again. I've gone ahead and modified the EE for stop down so I could take some pics with it on my K5, and in light testing it appears to be razor sharp. Will post some examples when I get a chance if this doesn't go soon.
