Two Rare Voigtlanders: 180mm & 75mm

I am selling off some of my lenses to try to get by with a kit that’s composed of just two primes and two zooms. The first to go, the Voigtlander 180mm and the Voigtlander 75mm, are both beautiful lenses to look at and hold. From their all-metal construction, lovely glass, and buttery smooth focusing ring to their tight fit on the camera and metal lens cap (and metal hood on the 180mm), they emanate quality. As far as I can see, both lenses are in mint condition.

Voigtlander 180mm APO Lanthar Close Focus Lens w/Hood, F4 SL, $1125: SALE PENDING

I bought the 180mm from someone who sold it as new. He’d acquired it with the knowledge the lens was discontinued, and wanted it “just in case.” Instead he switched to another system, and the Voigtlander was never used. I myself used it only a few times, enough to see the lens’ great IQ for myself and make sample pictures.

There aren't many lenses that are rated 10 by everyone who uses them, but the Voigtlander 180mm is one of them. I doubt I can add much to all the rave reviews except to say how surprised I was at its compactness.

Specifications:
• Optical construction - 9 elements in 7 groups
• Number of aperture blades - 9
• min. focus distance - 1.2m (max. magnification ratio 1:4)
• Dimensions - 66x59mm
• Weight - 485g
• Filter size - 49mm (non-rotating)
• Hood - barrel-shaped (snap-on)

Voigtlander 75mm Color Heliar F2.5 SL. SOLD

The Voigtlander 75mm I bought new, and like the 180mm I took it out for a few test shots. It is more difficult to find reviews on it, but in my opinion it is the finest of all the Voigtlanders I have (I lack the 125mm). I have never seen such rendering by a lens. I don’t know how to describe it other than possibly to say it has normal Voigtlander IQ plus extra depth and clarity. Sitting next to the 180mm, you can see how compact it is. It earned a rare “Highly Recommended” thumbs up from Photozone, and here’s a Pentax Forums thread on the 75mm.

Specifications:
• Optical construction - 6 elements in 5 groups
• Number of aperture blades - 9
• min. focus distance - 0.7m
• Dimensions - 64x40mm
• Weight - 250g
• Filter size - 49mm (non-rotating)

Price includes original packaging/paperwork, CONUS shipping via USPS Priority Mail, Insurance, and Paypal costs (if paid as “Personal”). I will ship the same business day we seal the deal (or next day if it is too late in the day).

Thanks for looking.

Les, I can not imagine you are selling these beauties. And I can not imagine you are doing it when I've just bought two very expensive lenses and flushed all the budget.

that 180mm is great. I've wanted it for some time. If I hadn't recently inherited a lot of nikkor glass i'd be very tempted. Good luck with the sale. That 180 is a rare piece.
