[SOLD] FS: Jupiter-9 85mm f/2.0

I managed to get my hands on a Pentax-A*85mm... so the Jupiter-9 85mm (M42 mount) is up for sale!

The aperture rings are a bit strange (by design). There are two of them and they're towards the front of the lens. One lets you set the aperture value and the other lets you open and close the iris for focusing and for shooting.

The lens is susceptible to flare so I bought a nice, screw-on lens hood for it, and I got a generic 58mm cap to go over the front of the lens hood.

I'm asking for $115 shipped in the US. I will ship worldwide, but contact me for additional shipping costs. I take Paypal or money order. I'll include an authentic Pentax M42 adapter for an additional $30 (I won't sell the adapter separately).

Jupiter-9 85mm f/2.0 lens
Original case
Original 49mm push-on front cap
Generic screw-on rear cap
Metal lens hood
Generic 58mm cap

Christmas Day in SoCal with the Jupiter-9

What is the native mount of this lens. Is it originally a Leica Thread Mount? (Edit guess that answers it when you said you'd include an M42 adapter for x amount).

Man, what's with you selling all these awesome lenses? You aren't leaving us, are you???

Not that I'm complaining -- the M 20 is at this very moment awaiting me at the post office...

Oops. Sorry, yes, it is an M42 lens. Forgot to mention that.

Nope, definitely not leaving. I just managed to get a bunch of A* lenses and I need money to pay for them.

I'm glad the M 20 finally arrived. I was hoping you'd have it for the weekend.

The buyer figured out his LBA priorities and passed on this lens. Anyone else?

Sad I had to pass

I am bumping this fine lens back to the top. And letting my pending go. I need to use the money for a fast AF Zoom and I let my lens lust get the best of me. I have wanted this lens since I got my K100d and am sorry to let it go... but someday.

Thank you James for giving me time to work thru the decision.

Good luck to whomever gets it... And please post photos so I can kick myself...

ARGH! the temptation.....

But I'm going to least bump this ad around to some folks I know, (I'd get it as soon as someone pays me for a camera I'm selling, but I'm more in the market for a leica thread mount lens of similar focal length and aperture).
