Just realise you are the professor of entomology. You should be our in house consultant for all critters and six legged creatures.

I have done that some in a few threads and pm. It is actually hard sometimes with only 1 photo because there are at least a million different described insects and many that aren't. I have seen several of your macros of Salticidae (jumping spiders) etc. and you have done some impressive macro work.

colloquial word is JS, (jumping spiders). So now I learnt a new word Salticidae

I was after jumping spiders a period of time becos of its beauty and variety. I was trying to magnify using extension tube to increase magnification and having different set-up and diffusers and additional sources of flash light to capture those beauty. Quite challenging. I am from the school of hard knocks, more discarded images than keepers. For every one keepers, there are more than 10 discarded images.

This sigma, no takers? I am surprise at this price point with AF and giving macro 1:1 magnificaiton. This lens provides reasonable working distance for insects and its sharp and has a nice oof. Highly recommended if one is looking for a macro expecially....
