SMC Pentax-FA 1:1.7 50mm SMC Pentax-A 1:2.8 135mm Sears MC 1:1.7 50mm

All prices include domestic shipping and PayPal fees.

FA 50 remains. The other two are sold.

SMC Pentax-FA 1:1.7 50mm (with fungus) $169 $155
I bought this lens about a year ago with the expectation of getting it cleaned. It took good pictures, even with the fungus, but I wanted to know what it could clean. So I sent it off to Eric Hendrickson, who cleaned as much as possible, but informed me that the lens has a sealed group that cannot be cleaned unless you can separate the sealed group and re-seal it. Even so, it does a great job. I took a number of photos comparing it to my recently acquired Pentax-F 50 1:1.7, and I couldn't tell the difference without pixel peeping, where a very slight reduction of contrast shows up at f/1.7 in the fungusy FA. It's still very sharp, even wide open. I can't keep both, so I'm selling the fungusy one for much less than a clean version. There are no scratches. The aperture is perfect. If you have concerns about the image quality, I can send you a full-size image or two to look at.

SMC Pentax-A 1:2.8 135mm $159 SOLD
So sad to be selling this one. It was my primary lens for portraits until I got the Rokinon 85. I've owned a number of 135s, including the Takumar (Bayonet) 135 f/2.5, the M 135 f/3.5, and a Vivitar 135 f/2.8. This one is by far the best. It's sharp enough to use wide open, wicked sharp stopped down, and has nice bokeh. The color and contrast are also great. Cosmetically, the lens is very good. There are some light markings on the barrel above the serial number, and some paint wear on the aperture ring. That's it. Everything else is perfect. The glass and mechanics are flawless. There is very little dust inside. Comes with original front cap and random rear cap.

Sears MC 1:1.7 50mm
$35 $29 SOLD
This one's a real sleeper. It's in good physical shape - a minor ding on the filter ring, but filters still go on just fine. Very minor dust. No marks on the glass. Aperture is great. It's as sharp as my Pentax-F 50 f/1.7 and has nice contrast. Comes with a front cap. I have no rear cap for it.

I love my Pentax A 135 2.8! I would agree to its quality and sharpness. A true gem that is becoming less common.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm going to miss it.

I should add that I like vignettes, so I often add them to my photos. Neither of these lenses is particularly prone to vignetting; they're both designed for full frame.
