300mm f4 A*

Up for sale is my 300mm f4 A* which I bought about 12 years ago. I now have more lenses in this focal length
than I need and I have to let one (or more) go.
This item is in great condition albeit with the usual marks on the hood, and small bits of wear or paint loss on
the barrel and lens cap. The glass is in fine shape with a few dust particles on interior element surfaces. The
aperture adjustment is snappy and there's no oil on the blades. This lens never left my house without a
protective filter in place, and it shows. There's really not as much dust as it seems in the photos. I'm a lifelong
film user who's having to deal with CCD sensor dust-bunnies for the first time. Grrr.
Payment of $600 USD plus shippng charges can be made through PayPal. The lens will be shipped with
insurance via CanadaPost. I'm located in British Columbia.
I will be including a Pentax cylindrical leather lens case for additional shippng protection. It has some wear on it, and I'm afraid I can't remember if it came with this particular lens or not.
Derek

I would say that the case is indeed the original one, Derek. Let mine go a few months ago, with regrets. Optically almost a perfect lens and when coupled with its small, hand- holdable size, it's a real winner.

Thanks Jac. I reckoned it was either for the 300 or my 200/2.8. It seems to fit either one.
Yeah, I'll be sorry to see this one go.

Thank-you to Pioneer for an interesting offer of a trade, but the lens is still available.

I hadn't even thought about trades as I'm trying to sell off some gear in three different formats, and frankly I need the money (and cupboard space) more than the GAS attacks. Still, I sometimes muse about a 100-2.8 macro (F or FA). Hmmm...
