I picked this up with some other items, but have more lenses than I can shake a stick at, so am trying not to keep things "just in case." This is a screw mount lens, including both the rear cap and the front, metal, press on cap. There are no signs of drops or significant dings or scratches, but there is a decent amount of just general wear... black paint a little rubbed off the edge here and there. It includes a Promaster UV filter (hot dog.) The glass, importantly, is super clear all over. That's really the extent of my knowledge on this lens. When the stop-down pin is depressed it closes the aperture at all stops, these things aren't rocket science so I think you're fine. I don't have an m42-k adapter otherwise I'd run it through its paces. If you buy this and there something seriously wrong with it then of course I'll take it back. Thanks for looking.
