Item Description
Here's a smart buy for someone, and I'll explain why...

Up for sale is my Pentax-F 70-210mm f4-5.6. Optically, mechanically, and cosmetically it is in great shape, with one exception. It has a dented filter ring. My philosophy was that this does not stop me from *using* filters, just screwing them on. I've seen pros go with one size of filter (as large as the largest they need) and then they just hold it in front of the lens at the moment of exposure. A very practical and economical solution, rather than buying a million different filters for all your filter sizes, OR a million different step-up/down rings to get what you need.

Frankly, I rarely shoot with a filter these days - preferring to do any adjustment in post-processing.

In any event, maybe you have a good technique for eliminating filter dents, which would make this a real no-brainer. No harm in trying! (but I haven't yet).

This is a very well respected lens. See a selection of images produced with the Pentax-F 70-210mm at the Images accepted taken with the F 70-210mm

As you can see, this lens is nice/light/compact for the focal length and has great color/contrast.

This lens is offered as a priced-to-sell-quick bargain, as I have other items to pay for (LBA is a harsh mistress)

This lens was designed to cover a full-frame 35mm image circle, so its value will only be going up when the Pentax FF DSLR is formally announced. In any event, you are buying it at a no-brainer price that you will be able to recoup (and more) should you ever decide to sell it in the future.

$60 plus actual cost shipping.
I will be happy to ship worldwide for actual shipping cost (your choice, fast or cheap). Priority Mail to the Continental U.S. should be under $10.

Apologies for the dust.

Great lens. Can't bring myself to part with mine, though it doesn't get enough use. Hope to make it part of a FF travel kit someday. Great colour and contrast.
