Nikon 24-70 f2.8

Prices are negotiable but i won't go too low, I'll consider a discount for purchase of both lenses.

I know there's quite a few that go both ways, Nikon and Pentax, so I'll toss them out here first before the hassle of ebay. I haven't used either of these for more than 9 months and the wife is complaining that it's time to start cleaning some stuff out. Given that D300 prices are dropping steadily I may list it too since I haven't used it in a while either since getting the K-5.

Images are linked to full size photos.

AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED
One of the "classic" Nikon lenses. This has been an amazing lens but I've almost exclusively been shooting Pentax and haven't felt the compulsion yet to upgrade my venerable D300. This lens was purchases in August of 2008. Last fall I noticed the focus was off a bit and sent in for repairs and it came back even better than before. The lens is in excellent shape with not imperfections at all. Hood and original box are included. $1550 (usd).

SOLD - AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G
This is the lens that convinced me to buy a Pentax. I wanted something small and light and one day I saw the Pentax 40mm pancake and this lens suddenly became the red headed step child that would never go on my camera again. Lens is in excellent condition. What can you say about them besides they are cheap, light and fast and occasionally even hit focus. $150.00 (usd)

Wow! Good luck on the sale and congrats on the K-5! That 24-70 is a beautiful lens. I believe my friend who used to shoot DSLR's, a Nikon, had a 35 1.8 too. Wish Pentax could make a really fast one like that for that cheap... Stares at the full-frame Pentax FA 31 1.8 going for $1,000 =_=

Funny enough I switch back to Nikon because of the 35mm 1.8G ^_^. People do have totally different preferences. Finally I end up with a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 with Nikon mount. I used to own the Pentax DA limited 40mm f2.8 lens. Pancake lenses are good but not as good as the other 3 FA limited. Since the pentax body is already very small so the 3 FA limited might be a better choice for you.

Your 24-70mm 2.8 is really attempting to me but Nikon never make it as affordable as the 35mm 1.8G and tamron. I have to keep using my tamron .

The guys at the local camera store talked me into trying the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 for my A77. I left the store thinking they had a 2 week refund policy and there was no way I was even going to consider owning a less the $500 wide zoom. But I've been amazed more than a few times at how great that lens is. In fact, the photos linked above were all shot with it.

I have the A16NII. It's not as good as the 35mm 1.8G. The color rendition is ok but not as good as Nikon for portraits. CA is quite noticeable on the left top portion. Sharpness is adequate for me though ^_^. It's quite easy to use. My 10 years old son likes to use it. He doesn't care about the weight(which I can't understand. He even got a nice shot of me holding his little brother with the big Nikon AF 80-200mm f2.8.) and he doesn't like the slow responses from P&S cameras.

If I am not married then the 24-70mm should be a must have . I think you can sold the 35mm 1.8G fast on craigslist. A young man drove 1 hour from San Francisco to pick it up from me for $160. It's kind of crazy.

Best wishes! They are all great dream lenses!
