XR Rikenon 28mm f/3.5 lens
Excellent condition
Caps, case and metal shade included

I am always loathe to use the term rare, but you won't see many of these on eBay.

I have read speculation that except for slight cosmetic differences this lens is identical
to the SMC Pentax-M 28/3.5 lens, and may have been produced in the same factory.
I cannot confirm this however the appearance is strikingly similar.

The XR Rikenon lenses have neither an "A" setting nor the dreaded "Ricoh pin".

Isn't this the lens that @RioRico has been looking for in the wanted section with a 3 page thread(longest I have ever seen there btw). If so I'll buy it!!

No. RioRico describes the lens he's looking for as "tiny" and weighing 60g.

This lens is approximately the same size and weight as the Pentax M28/3.5 (180g).
Further there is no indication that it contains aspheric elements.

I love my Rikenon-P 28/2.8, tiny pin and all. P-types have the pin, XRs do not.
I've no doubt this one is excellent.
