Pentax K SMC 400mm f5.6 and free TC-FINAL REDUCTION

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax K SMC 400mm f5.6 and free TC

Asking Price
$300

Item Location
Michigan (United States)

Item Description
I bought this lens from Pepe Guitarra here at Pentax Forum Marketplace in May. I was excited about shooting moon photos. It's a nice lens, but I've determined that I can't justify the lens just for the occasional moon shot............I'm not a wildlife/bird photog......so it needs a new home.

Pepe wrote a review of the lens here at PF....the link is below:
SMC Pentax 400mm F5.6 Reviews - K Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

The price I'm quoting is for the lens, but I'm also including a free Vivitar 2x Tele Converter, because you'll want to play with that as soon as you start taking pics with it.

Also included is built-in lens hood, lens caps for both ends and a rigid case.

I've attached a pic of the lens below. I can send more if needed.

Dave

Looks nice. I could see myself using it alongside my K 300 f4, if you shipped outside of CONUS.

Now that Lightroom has great CA tools to help kill green and purple fringing, these older K telephotos can take on a whole new life.

I have to admit that I am in lust, I'm just not sure I can justify the expense right now. Another concern is that I would probably use it for the same reasons the seller would, an occasional moon shot.

I can only say this: if I didn't already have one of these lenses, this one would no longer be for sale. Moon shots aside, it can also be used for wildlife, or to shoot objects you can't get close to (like prototype cars nudge-nudge, wink-wink).

Anyone know if this lens will fit (due to its size) and operate on an OM-D E-M5 with proper adapter?

Dave,

I injured my back over the weekend and right now things aren't looking so good for me. I'm going to postpone this until I see how severely my injury affects me and my wallet.

Sorry about that,

Frank
