I would be expecting to pay something in that range - does it have the tripod mount? And general condition?

I see you have both the 60-250 and the F 300 I have been waffling back and forth - what are your thoughts?

here is the original listing with some pictures...i can try to take some more after the weekend...it does have the tripod mount...it has scratches on the barrel as shown in the pictures...the hood is loose but i use a rubber band to keep it where i want it...the lens is excellent...it takes beautiful pictures but the focus can be slow so when you try to take action shots like i do it can be frustrating...amy

in regard to the 60-250 and the 300 i love them both and wouldn't give up either...i wish they were 2.8 but the pictures are awesome and it's nice to be outside knowing you don't have to worry about the weather...i have started to lean towards the prime lens and when i take pictures of birds i use the 300 or the 50-500 sigma (for the extra distance)...i also use the 1.7 adapter with the 300 and am actually happy with the outcome...if something were to happen to the da lens i would buy them again...if it were to happen to the f 300 i wouldn't replace it but that is only because of the focus slowness...

i do love how light the f300 is which is definitely one of the pluses

also in regard to the da lens if you could only buy 1 lens i would have to get the 60-250 for the flexibility but the 300 is a great lens and you won't be disappointed...i did though buy an extended warranty on both but didn't want to take the chance that the sdm would fail so i'm covered for 3 years instead of 1
