TCs with removable optics; A-type Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
TCs with removable optics; A-type

Asking Price

Item Location
North Carolina (United States)

Item Description
For sale are three is a 2x teleconverters with A contacts and easily-removable optics, turning it into an A-type extension tube about 25mm long. All three units are The unit is KAR mount, i.e., exactly like Pentax-A but with the additional Ricoh contact. With two of these I have already removed the optics and Ricoh contacts (optics included in case you want to put them back together).

Prices include PayPal fees and shipping within the continental US.

I am selling these because I decided I don't really need five of them.

Edit: Please see my review for discussion of the limitations of using DA-type lenses with an A-type TC.

Unit #1: Focal MC 2x converter, $35. SOLD.

In EX+ condition. Comes with case and caps (and instructions ). Still has the optics and Ricoh contact in place. As you can see from the photo, it has the slots that allow you to remove the optics. The Ricoh contact is rounded and will not cause the infamous "Ricoh pin" problem, so you can leave it in place (if you want to remove it that is a pretty easy operation).

Unit #2: As above, but includes original box () and the optics and Ricoh contact have already been removed. $35. SOLD.

I scratched the bottom of the unit while removing the optics; this is purely cosmetic and has no effect on function. Optics and Ricoh contact included.

Unit #3: Vivitar MC Tele Converter 2x PK-A/R-PK, $20. Putting this one on hold for now; on further testing the function is too erratic.

This one comes without caps or case. As with #2 I have removed the optics and Ricoh contact, and also scratched the bottom in a merely cosmetic way. Note that the bottom is anodized and I have sanded off a portion of the coating to get proper A function. However, this one probably needs more sanding as the aperture function can be intermittent. If you can't get it to work properly you may send it back for a full refund, but you pay return shipping. Optics and Ricoh contact included.
