"I am going pro. start to feel the need to go to either canon or nikon" part is quite insulting IMHO.

Are you implying PRO can't use Pentax? I don't want to start a brand war nor I'm a Pentax fanboy but come on.

I am easily confused with all the different Sigma lens acronyms etc. Is this 10-20 4-5.6 HSM or not?

Also to note - Adorama's return policy is 30 days.

Unfortunately, some customers consider only canon or nikon shooters as pro. I think LiuKaitc might have experienced that once or twice. So...

IHMO, it is a complete waste of money to go from k-5 to 7D.. What would be the logic, just wondering.

There isn't that much difference between the K-5 and a Canon 7D. What is different is the availability of lenses for sale and for rent. I've read discussions here on the forum reminding members that going pro means it is wise to have a redundant camera, lenses, etc. You can go into most electronics stores and find Nikon and Canon lenses and they are easy to rent as well. This is no knock against Pentax, but it is the reality of the marketplace at this time. Pentax needs to do a better job with product support and availability for pro shooters. It may not be where Pentax wants to put its energy or resources. I think it will become clearer once we see whether a full frame offering will be forthcoming.
