Great pictures bro. Now I want one bad... the 760nm cut seems much nicer than the IRs that I've taken with the Hoya R72.

I'm interested in this, but I have a couple of questions... since basically the camera will be an IR only camera, is this similar to IR-film loaded cameras of old? Also, this will be the deal beaker for me if it works, since IR is meant to use during the day, if used at night, with an IR flash, will the results be similar to here: And then came the shot: How to: Infrared Flash? Many thanks!

Thanks Buddy. Actually I'd love to have a 720nm filter installed so I'd have some colors in those photos

Sorry for the late reply. Didn't get chance to follow this thread ...

I never shot any IR w/ film, but after some reading (here), seems quite troublesome to shoot IR in film. It is so much easier to take IR photos w/ a converted (dedicated) IR camera, you don't need to add any filter or whatsoever, just take the photos as you take normal ones (w/ some exposure compensation, in this case its about +2 EV), then do some post process (auto level, channel mix, and that's pretty much it), that's all.

As to the IR flash thing, looks pretty interesting. I'm sure this camera would work great w/ an IR flash. Looks pretty fun. Now I just need an IR filter to put infront of my flash and see how it works .

Thanks Frank... I'm really interested in having my k100d converted. IR for day time shots, with IR flash during the night...(for flash filters, I suggest you get one of those free Lee filter swatches from your nearest camera store. The size is just right for the flash, plus where else can you get 750 flash filters for free?)
