3 cheap autofocus Sigmas - from $20 shipped!

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
3 cheap autofocus Sigmas - from $25 shipped!

Asking Price
$20 AU

Item Location
Newcastle (Australia)

Item Description
I have here 3 Sigmas, of which there is no getting away from the fact that they are kit lenses, and not renowned for their quality - though the 28-90mm with a 1:2 macro is actually a decent lens. For some reason the 28-90 has never been listed on the lens database, but personally I think it's just slightly better than the 28-80 with 1:2 macro. It looks a bit more serious too.
OK - for some reason - none of them have front caps. Don't ask me why - that's how they were sold to me, with no front caps... rear caps, they have, but no fronts. If these were good lenses I'd buy caps for them but since I'm only selling them on anyway, the buyer can decide what they want to do with that.
The 28-90mm, the best of the lenses, has a CPL filter to help protect it on the trip - but they'll all be well padded and won't have anything that could scratch the element on them.
The 100-300mm will also have a Trontec UV filter - but this is not pictured because I can't find it right now. Bear in mind it WILL come with the UV filter though.

Anyway, we have:
the 18-50mm f3.5 - 5.6. This actually has a box and a receipt - some poor soul paid $175 for it from Camera House in Bondi...
Anyway it's in good condition and yes if you'd like the box I'll ship it but it'll be $2 extra since it's a big box for an otherwise tiny lens and will cost me more to ship.
Price of this lens is:
Shipped, with box, paid by bank deposit: $22
Shipped, NO box, paid by bank deposit: $20
Paypal add $2 to either price to get total with or without box.

the 28-90mm f3.5 - 5.6 macro (1:2) lens. No reviews of this that I can find, but this lens is pretty similar - I've owned both and I THINK the 28-90 came out later, being a bit like the 28-80mm MK3:
Sigma 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 II Macro Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
I have had pretty good macro results with this and sometimes shoot with it as a bit of a fun, as opposed to my Tamron 90mm which requires a bit more concentration. Lens in good condition, comes with a CPL filter as stated, but no front cap.

Prices:
Shipped, bank deposit: $27
Shipped, Paypal: $29

the 100-300mm f4.5 - 6.7, as seen here:
Sigma 100-300mm F4.5-6.7 DL Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

Not a bad lens actually, pretty sharp for such a cheapie, especially wide open. It's also as light as a feather and would suit a few applications, like for shooting somewhere dirty or dusty that you didn't want your expensive lenses at risk, or to give to a practicing youngster, or to attach to a body you're selling, as part of a "twin kit" kind of thing.
A bit dusty and dirty around the outside but nothing wrong with the optics or mechanics. Comes with Trontec UV filter, no front cap:

Prices:
Shipped, bank deposit: $40
Shipped, Paypal: $42

For two or all three lenses I will do combo deals - message me offers on one or several of them, I don't mind.

Enjoy!

Hi - just an FYI, the Quantaray 28-90 lens is a rebadged Sigma, & is the same lens as the one you're selling.
Quantaray 28-90mm f3.5-5.6 version 5 Lens Reviews - Quantaray Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I agree - it's quite a decent lens, esp for the price - I use mine all the time as a general walkaround. Very usable & fun "macro" mode, too.

Now I realise there are hardly FA Limiteds - but they have a few things going for them. 1: the total cost of all three of them would be $85. 3 AF lenses for $85. - 2: They're all light and easy to get around. 3: It wouldn't matter much if something bad happened to them.

I'm not dropping the price of the 18-50mm anymore, I can stick that on a camera and sell it with the camera, and probably not much more for the 28-90mm or 100-300 either, same goes. But if I MUST I may drop them a bit.

Hello,

I'm new to all of this. I'm interested in the 100-300 as a kickabout lens to accompany my K-30 I've just ordered with the 18-55 kit lens.

This Sigma 100-300 will mount and function fully on the K-30?

If so, then I'll buy it. Happy to pay via bank deposit.

Regards, Gary

Hey everyone,

All of these sold as far as I'm aware (buyers have said payment has been made) - so I guess that's it for this sale!
