SIGMA 24-135mm f2.8-4.5 for PENTAX Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SIGMA 24-135mm f2.8-4.5 for PENTAX

Asking Price
220.00 USD

Item Location
Oklahoma City (United States)

Item Description
SIGMA 24-135 f2.8-4.5 for PENTAX: Includes EVERYTHING ORIGINAL as with a new purchase

Excellent overall condition, has few small marks on the lens ring noticed only under close inspection, metal mount is excellent but can be seen as used though great shine and free of hard marks, body is outstanding, hood is outstanding, the cap is in good condition (though as for most Sigma lens caps, does not stay on well). The Lens hood is mint, zooming is not hard, not real smooth, but it is consistent. Little zoom creep if lens left around 50mm while shooting, it will move IF you jerk the camera. But, it is stiff enough to stay where you leave it. This IS a FAT lens, not long though. It has some weight but you should expect this since it is a f2.8 lens with the range of 24-135!!!

Focuses very fast for this size lens, focus ring has a short throw, so manual focus is touchy
+VERY accurate focus-no front focus/back focus switching on this lens at all
+VERY even sharpness corner to corner ALL zoom ranges...I have NEVER seen this before and this is the best feature of this lens
+VERY predictable performance from this lens, set to f6.3 stops and fire away...GREAT for a travel lens or when you don't want
to flirt with f-stops for max performance
+LOW CA after 35mm and f6.3 stops
+This is very much a 'set it up and forget' style lens. I set the camera up at f7 in Aperture Priority mode on my K5 and do not
think twice about what else I need to do

-NOT the sharpest lens, but gets max sharpness early at f6.3 stops, and the entire range is about the same at f8 stops for certain
-It gets CA's, but really only from wide open OR from 24-35mm
-Zoom creep IF not stowed back to 24mm, where it does NOT creep.

NOTE: I have a long term 8 year standing with Ebay while maintaining a score of 237 and 100% positive feedback. My eBay account name is nrs2112. Please check it out!!!
