Canon 5D, 28-135 IS, Tamron 20-40mm

Up for sale is a Canon full frame kit that I've been using for the past few months. It's a great starter kit for anyone interested in trying out full frame. Just be advised that it can be a bit addictive and you'll soon find yourself craving something newer (a Nikon D600 in my case, ). So here's what I have:

Canon EOS 5D - $500
I bought this in BGN condition from KEH. I've since added a missing eye-cup. There are some marks on the body, but the camera runs just fine. For a 7 year old camera, this thing can make some really, really nice files. Just be advised that you must, must, must watch both sides of the histogram while shooting Canons. Shadows do not respond to post-processing like K-5 files do. If you're careful with exposure, though, the 5D produces some of the nicest 12 Mp files you'll see. The camera comes with three batteries, a charger, a 4 Gig CF card, original body cap and a Canon neck strap (though the strap is actually from a 1980's F1N...it does say Canon, though).

Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS - On Hold - $200
This was my standard walk around for the 5D. I had wanted the 24-105mm f4L IS, but couldn't really afford it. The 28-135mm seemed like a nice compromise for me. Still a good lens at a much nicer price. This one seems to be a very good copy, too. I've been very happy with the results especially when I could stop down a little bit. The IS system is pretty ridiculous, too. I managed to get sharp results at 1 second at 53mm. Don't believe me? Check it out here. Kind of amazing that this is a first generation IS lens. The lens is in excellent condition and comes with original hood and generic lens caps.

Tamron SP 20-40mm f2.7-3.5 - Sold! $170
I love a good sleeper lens, and this is a sleeper if there ever was one. This is a lens that Tamron made towards the end of the film era. It's far, far sharper than any 3rd party wide angle zoom of that era has any right to be. The 28-135mm was supposed to be my general walk around lens for the 5D kit, but once I got this baby I found myself shooting with it more and more. I sincerely doubt that you could find a better wide angle zoom at my asking price. Lens is in excellent condition and comes with original hood, caps and case.

Shipping included to US destinations. Shipping to be via USPS Priority Mail insured. Please add 3% for PayPal fees. If someone was interested in the whole kit, we could work out lower pricing for that. Additionally, I generally keep to sales within the US and Canada, but if a member with good feedback from another country was interested, I'd be willing to sell to him or her.

Thanks for looking!

I'll throw in an M42-EOS adapter and an Adaptall-EOS adapter with the sale of the camera.

As a former 5D owner I will give a bump. The 5D gives beautiful results and still used by a lot of professional wedding & landscape photographers.

Dropped price on the 5D. I'll include shipping via USPS Priority Mail to US destinations now, as well.

Couple recent images from the camera and lenses:

Alright...how about $600 for camera and $200 for each of the lenses. As much talk as there is around here about full frame, someone's gotta want to try it out, right?

One last bump, and then I think this stuff is headed to the 'Bay. 5D dropped to $575. Tammy 20-40mm dropped to $190.
