Here's some un-edited shots (just resized to 25% for space concerns) I've taken with this lens.

Superb value IMO

tcbubbleleo,

I've read the site reviews for this lens, but I'd like to hear your opinion.
Did you enjoy using it?

I loved using it, it was basically my camera body cap before the Tamron 17-50mm arrive, for latter is more convience for me chasing little kid around for pictures.

I loved using it mostly for indoor protrait. It has better bokeh, in my opinion, compare to the FA35/2, altough both wide open the FA is more superior. Moreover, the size and weight of it is much more than the DAs and the FAs, I don't really care, but some toher might.

Just not using it enough these days, also I want to gather fund to get the Samyang 85mm f/1.4

It looks like the box displayed is not the one from that version of the lens. I've got the version of the lens that goes with that box, (and that box) and I rather do like it.

'Bokeh' is not an operative term here, for the most part, unless you get to actual macro shots. You won't see much 'bokeh' to worry about in other use.

That said, I like mine. (the aspheric EXDG version: Generally flat field of focus and no surprises, covers full frame at that speed and is big enough that I call mine 'the Dinty Moore' for being the size of a stew can. The focus ring has a back-forth clutch that feels clunky but doesn't actually seem to get in the way.

Mileage may vary, especially by different versions, but if you don't mind the size, (And I kind of do, it turns out, but I'll complain when I can afford an FA 31) I like these pretty well, really.

I agree with tcbubbleleo, I found the size to be the only real detriment to this lens, but that is the same with any Sigma. I've had the odd AF issue, but that is a common Pentax issue.

I just bought an FA 31mm 1.8, and I am NOT getting rid of this lens because it's so versatile.

The FA31 is superb, but I couldn't have taken those dragonfly pictures with the FA 31 (those weren't even the closest pictures I got to the dragon fly. There was too much grass in the way on the other ones. I am NOT a macro photographer, but I enjoy having the ability to do it, and this lens does it well if you can get close enough to take pictures)

another thing I might want to add is the FAs, especailly the limiteds tend to have warmer color than the Sigs. I only have had the FA43, 31 for no more than a few days b4 (Brought them here for friends in H.K., the price is better here in the U.S.)

I am not a macro shooter either, but I do prefer the ability to have macro in the lens. Not so much to shoot macro shots, but with the close-focusing when suddenly needed.
