Vintage Metal Square Lens Hood 49mm - this is a beautiful black lens hood made in Germany, external side is rubberized (I am not sure if it is a proper world - it is covered with something similar to what covers Voigtlander hoods like this: Genuine Voigtlander Hood LH 1 Square Hood for 21mm F4 28mm F3 5 25mm F4 | eBay).
It can be a great replacement for ridicolously expensive original Voigtlander lens hoods. Or it will work with all Pentax lenses with 49mm screw. I am not sure what is the widest angle with which you can use this hood, but I have tried it succesfully with 50, 75, and 90mm lenses. External side of the hood looks almost like new, internal has some scratches on its black paint.

I think it should be fine. I have that lens with a cheap ebay collapsible rubber hood on it that looks longer/narrower than that hood. A hood helps a lot with the A 28 2.8 in my experience.

Does the item have provision to align the hood once it is screwed in place? Or is it a push-on type hood?
