Item Description
This lens is a Prospec 28-200 f/3.8-5.6 superzoom manual focus, with push-pull (or "onetouch") zooming.

Optically, the lens is perfect or near perfect. No marks, haze, or fungus, and just a little internal dust that will likely not affect image quality.

Mechanically, the lens is in fine shape. The aperture blades are quick, responsive and oil-free. It mounts easily and securely, and the focus and zoom actions are both very smooth.

Cosmetically, this lens is nearly flawless.

One caveat is that there is an aperture lever shield on the back of the lens that will prevent it from mounting on Pentax AF SLRs with Power Zoom and DSLRs with Power Zoom/SDM contacts. This is easily remedied with a little dremel work. I have done this before on a 80-200 zoom and can make the necessary modifications to this lens before shipping.

This manual-focus 28-200 is a good performer. It has the same aperture range and focal length range as the Pentax FA 28-200 built by Tamron, and in my opinion, it's sharper and has better color rendition.

I believe that I have the Sigma version of this lens. It is really a great, sharp, versatile lens. For the $ someone will be very happy I'm sure.

Thanks! I really am impressed with the performance of this one. It's a good performer, optically, I think better than the tamron 28-200mm autofocus lens.
