smc pentax-m 35mm f/2.8

I am looking for smc pentax-m 35mm f/2.8 to mate with my k1000. I have reasonable price expectations. I'm looking for one to use, not a collector piece. So, a little bit of wear is OK as long as the function of the lens is not affected.
Thanks!

i might get a 28mm later. i have an idea of limiting myself to 35mm on the k1000 for awhile. i'm going to shoot just black and white and develop at home. i've got a certain 'look' that i'm after.
thanks, though!

Hi Exroadie,
I'm surprised you're having a hard time, this is a pretty common lens here in France.
I have one M 35mm 2.8 that I will let go as soon as I receive my 31 Limited, early January. It has a small default in the filter thread, making it difficult (but not impossible) to screw a 49mm filter in place. I think 70 EUR + shipping would be quite reasonable but I'm open to discussion. PM me if you might be interested.

Hi Exroadie , that sounds good!

I have a couple of 35/2's that I consider to be very nice lenses.
I wouldn't call them budget lenses because they are a little pricier, however, I would consider them on the top of the pile in terms of optical characteristics.
That being said what type of look are you after?
The lenses I'm referring to are the MIR-24M shown here:

These are most commonly found in N mount, though the odd M42 version can be had for a decent price on eBay from time to time.
After finding a good one, I was so impressed with its performance that I bought a second copy for my kit.

That being said, here are a few images taken from these with the K-5:

Hope this helps.
JohnBee

PS. I have two copies of this lens. You're welcome to PM me if you're interested.

Victor, I will keep that in mind. As of this morning, I've got a lens on the way. It needs the blades cleaned, but the price was good.

Wow! You are getting spectacular results with that lens!
I'll see if I can find some of my old pics that are something like what I'm after.

Thanks everyone! I now have not one, but two copies of this lens on the way. Very excited about that! This should keep me busy for awhile...
