Item Description
I am offering for sale a mint copy of the rare and legendary
Zeiss Distagon 2.8/21mm, in MM version (serial number 7401712). The lens is originally in Contax/Yashica mount but has been professionally adapted for Pentax K-mount with a Leitax adapter.
Taking into account that Zeiss stopped the production of K-mount lenses in 2010, a converted copy like this offers a unique opportunity to acquire a lens that has been described as one of the very best 21mm's ever.
The conversion to Pentax K-mount is reversible: the original Contax/Yashica mount is included. (Instructions for the conversion process can be found on the Leitax website.)
What you will receive includes a number of quality accessories. The entire lot comprises (see second picture below)
- the lens, with back cap and front cap (original)
- the original box, with Contax leather pouch
- a metal 82mm sunhood plus an extra 82mm lens cap for use with the sunhood
- a Marumi 82mm 1A filter
- the original Contax/Yashica mount.
I am the first owner of this lens, and have used it on only a few occasions.
The lens is accordingly in mint condition: no scratches, fungus, or dust, smooth operation in all respects.
(If you find any flaws that are not described in this ad, including the pictures, I will be happy to take back the lens. The pictures below are of the original item.)
