I'm not endorsing this particular lens, the seller, or the deal offered here, as I have no direct knowledge of any of the particulars, but I do have some comments about this lens model and what appears to be included in the sale, if this might help someone.

The SP 80-200 f2.8 is clearly the best in this class of lens (MF xx-200 f2.8). The Tokina is okay, but this lens performs noticeably better. IMO, this lens is one of the few zoom lenses that's good enough to use with the P F 1.7x AFA with not much IQ degradation, and that gives you a 136-340mm f4.8 AF zoom. This combination is not as quite as good optically nor quite as fast as a Sigma EX 100-300 f4, but it's probably the next best alternative, and it's longer, a lot lighter and easier to handhold.

If indeed the Adaptall 2 P/KA adapter is included as in the pic, this adapter is now rare and relatively expensive by itself. It opens up a whole world of LBA as the adapter can be used with any Adaptall 2 lens, making it compatible with any Pentax DSLR, and allowing AE with aperture control through the camera. There are quite a few Adaptall 2 lenses that are bargains for their optical quality.

The hood is relatively rare -- it took me over a year to find an OEM hood for this lens.

The tripod ring is easily the best one available that can fit an FA* 300 f4.5 -- this may be trivial if you don't have one of these lenses, but if you do, and have tried to find a tripod collar that fits, it's not. . .

Sorry for butting in here, but I felt the info might be of help to someone.

Thank you - I agree with everything you said. It does include the Pentax adaptal mount.

I have found this lens to be superb but just don't find myself using it - I tend to grab the Pentax 200mm f/4 SMCP-FA ED (IF) Macro Lens when I need the reach or the Pentax SMC-FA 100/2.8 Macro.

I'll second Snostorm's comments. This is an exceptional lens that matches the SP 180/2.5 for close-up IQ in the 100-180mm range and works very well with both the Tamron 1.4x TCs (140F and Pz-AF). A pleasure to use.
