Tamron K pz-af teleconverters 1.4x MC4 and 2x MC7

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron K pz-af teleconverters 1.4x MC4 and 2x MC7

Asking Price
$110-$225 USD

Item Location
Twin Cities, MN (United States)

Item Description
Asking prices are listed with the photos below.

Well, I sold 4 of the 1.4x tamron teleconverters last week that I recently purchased at a local auction. After much deliberation I have decided to sell my own two tamron teleconverters (I recently acquired one in Nikon F mount to use with my 300mm f2.8 adaptall, and also have the pentax 1.7x tc which I'm hold onto). I have had these for at least the past year. They are both optically flawless, and include a tamron front cap and generic rear cap, as well as a leather carrying pouch as shown below. The 1.4x TC also comes with the original box. Cosmetically both TCs are similar, with minimal wear and no major marks to speak of.

Some info regarding these teleconverters (please do you research regarding AF, especially if you'll be using an SDM lens - both of these have contacts, but AF performance can and will vary between different lenses):

1.4x: I have tested this teleconverter using my k-5 and DA* 50-135mm lens. It functions as it should, and similarly to my past experience with other copies of this teleconverter. Testing in indoor overhead room lighting did have some focus hunting, with focus lock found after 2-3 attempts - in better lighting (under the LED light I used below in the photos) focus will lock on the first try with good contrast. As stated above please do your research! These are great teleconverters with high image quality, and good AF in proper lighting.

2x: This lens will AF standard lenses in good light, as well as some lenses through the SDM contacts (it did not work with my 50-135mm lens, however it would work when I had the sigma 120-400mm HSM, which I found rather strange! Clearly it wasn't an issue of available light with the 50-135mm as it is 1-2 stops faster). Anyway, it is a great TC even if used via manual focus only, made a nice pair with my tamron 300mm f2.8 adaptall lens as well.

Tamron K mount pz-af 1.4x MC4 - $225

Tamron K mount pz-af 2x MC7 - $110
