I traded for this lens with another member in 2011 (Stormtech, who has posted below!), and it is truly an enjoyable lens to use! This is a great copy. The lens is optically almost perfect with the exception of a small fleck of dust on one of the internal elements (noted below next the the accompanying photo where you can see it) - this will not affect image quality. Cosmetically there are some light scuffs (primarily on the hood) and a few paint chips on the body which is fairly common with this lens if you've seen other copies - this one is notably good looking compared to most that I've seen.

The original Tamron 43mm insert filter is included (from what I have read about this lens, the rear insert filter was originally designed as part of the optical formula for this lens), and in excellent shape with no marks to speak of. The original hood and front cap (fits the hood) are included - the hood has some play once atttached (will turn about 1/4 inch) but stays on once mounted (it is a bayonet mount type hood).

Along with the lens I also have the accompanying tamron 2x Adaptall BBAR 01F (I actually have 2 and buyer will get both). I will also include an appropriate set of rear caps for both the 300mm lens and for one accompanying teleconverter (no caps for the 2nd TC or 28mm lens). The asking price also includes the official tamron PK/A which allows aperture control via the camera body, and also a P/K adapter - with the P/K adapter the lens will act as an M series lens (If you are not familiar with how to use manual lenses, see Adam's tutorial here. The original Tamron leather lens case is also included with this sale - the case does show signs of wear including the handle bolts being rusted - although good for storage, a new appropriate bag is recommended for use in the field.

As a bonus I am also including a Tamron 28mm F2.5 adaptall-2 lens (02B) - this lens is in great shape optically, I can provide a photo if wanted.

Being the previous owner of this lens I can vouch for the quality and condition. It's very hard to find a copy that is in this nice condition both externally and optically.

And, you won't find a better person to do a transaction with - goes the extra mile to be sure his buyers are happy.

Bump! The tamron 300mm listing (and everything mentioned) is still available. I originally listed it for $600 with an option to add the pk/a adapter for another $75. I have decided to set a single asking price of $640 including the pk/a adapter (net result, I have lowered the price). $640 includes shipping in the US, due to the weight of everything (15lbs) and value of the lens I will not be shipping outside of the US. Thanks for looking!

For clarification, the asking price is $640! I forgot to edit one spot, everywhere else shows the $640 asking price, that includes shipping and paypal fees.

Treebeard, if you're serious about the lens I would consider holding it, send me a PM to discuss!

Also, here are a few samples - I didn't have full editing software on my laptop and these were from my first time using the lens. These were also using the pentax afa 1.7x teleconverter (which I have already sold), so the lens on its own will produce better results than are shown! These are cropped between 50-100% as well.
