Jupiter-9, Tokina 500mm

Selling some seldom-used glass and other gear. My loss is your gain!

Pentax DA*16-50 Screwdrive - $600 SOLD
No chance of SDM ever failing on this lens. It has been reprogrammed to only use the screwdrive focus motor on any Pentax DSLR you mount it to (this is a function of the lens, not the body, so it will work on future bodies as long as they have screwdrive). The SDM motor was working before the lens rom was reprogrammed, but screwdrive is much faster and equally accurate. The only difference from it's SDM is that the lens makes a small amount of noise when focusing. Small price to pay for a 16-50 that won't fail to AF during a critical shoot or while on vacation. Glass and body are in excellent condition, no marks or internal dust. No box or papers, but includes the Pentax S90-160 lens bag.

Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 - $300 SOLD

Pentax DA 55-300mm - $250 SOLD

Canon FD-mount 135mm f/2 lens with FD to Pentax K & Q adapters - $300 SOLD

Jupiter-9 85mm f/2 - $150 SOLD

Tokina 500mm f/8 Mirror - $95
Pentax K mount (no adapter needed), in amazing condition. Includes the original leatherette case, three drop-in filters, reversible metal hood, and original caps! Very good for a 500mm mirror lens (better than the Samyang ones sold "new" on eBay and Amazon). Long, smooth focus throw, and incredibly compact, but it still takes patience and a fast shutter speed to hand hold it.

Tamron Adaptall-2 PK/A mount - $45 SOLD

Pentax O-ME53 eyepiece magnifier - $25 SOLD

Kata DL-531 "Hybrid" cases - $20 SOLD

SHIPPING: All items ship to nearly anywhere in the world via CanadaPost. Shipping on the lenses is $20 within Canada, and $35 to the US, and everywhere else please PM me. Smaller, non-lens items are $5 to Canada and the US, and probably not worth shipping anywhere else.

Payment via paypal, and more photos with details are available upon request!

Out of curiosity, does the 16-50 still have quick shift?

Yes, quick shift on the screwdrive DA*16-50 still works!

How did you mange to reprogram the lens? And do you know if it could be done to the DA*50-135 as well? Thanks in advance, and good luck on selling the rest of your gear.

I love the Canon 135/2 on my NEX. It is a stellar performer. I hope to have a Q one day to enjoy it with as well.

For more on the screwdrive 16-50, see here: How to deactivate SDM and allow for screw drive autofocus with DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 - Le site des amateurs de PENTAX

My wife has that same Tokina 500mm mirror lens. I can vouch for the fact that it's quite a bit better than the Samyang/Vivitar/Rokinon/whatevers...

By popular request, again, here are some sample shots from the Canon FD 135mm f/2. All are using the adapter on my Pentax K-5, but the first two are with the glass elements of the adapter removed (making it a close-focus/ portrait only 135mm), and the next two showing the degradation of the adapter with the glass elements in it (allowing infinity focus, but making it a darker 162mm lens).

Glass elements removed, at f/2:

Glass elements removed, at f/2.8:

Anything beyond f/2.8 is furiously sharp, and not really worth posting. That tells the story of the Canon 135mm f/2 on a Pentax APS-C.
Obviously, there is a trade-off with the elements installed... and obviously, I need to take down those last few bits of holiday decoration!
