It's a bit too much for my style Kinda like owning a yellow car, it's not subtle...

I actually purchased a white one yesterday, thanks though

So for now, I will be withdrawing the yellow one for trade for a white or black camera until I receive the white.

I will still accept a silver one either in trade for the yellow or for purchase outright.

The silver one is the nicest. I wonder why Pentax thinks we don't like silver in the USA. I think yellow would be my favorite though, if it were all yellow and black; and not yellow, black and silver. It's still my second favorite though. If you like the white are you going to specify an actual price for the body?

As far as I'm aware, we haven't had any silver editions other than the FA Limiteds...quite silly. I know several DSLR bodies were offered in silver also, like the *ist and K200D (and obviously the K-7 and K-5). Of course we didn't get them...I didn't even know the silver K200D existed until a few days ago.

Bump for the first post updated with pricing! I will be adding a couple pics shortly showing the box and the rest of the kit. Price is a little higher than what I paid, but I could always just return it instead. Sold separately, I haven't seen too many for less

I wonder whether the silver was specified by Pentax Europe and Pentax USA decided not to order it (and for that matter not to order silver lenses). IOW, are the production runs specified to meet the requests of the Regional Distributors rather than decisions made directly by Japan?

Given the six weeks it took for P-USA to add the K-01 to their web page, I wonder whether P-USA drove the stake into the K-01 altogether?

All PMs replied to

XS lens is packaged with postage paid and ready for its new owner.

Got a few PMs on the K-01, although no firm buyer yet, so that should be heading out soon also.

I would like the hear the rationale behind their decision Interestingly, I can only find silver K-01s in Germany via the various ebay sites. Looked on the UK site, Netherlands, one other I forgot, and even Japan's version.

Or why were the silver DA Limiteds truly produced in limited numbers--from what I understand--and never offered in North America? Would we Americans not cherish limited Limiteds in their eyes? And then what is our market share relative to the rest of the world?
