It's far more than just a collector's item. The bellows works great for macro photography.

Nice items. I have the K versions. By curiosity, did you try it with a DSLR? May be it's my fault, but it didn't work with my istDS even I tried with several (wider angle) lenses

Hi fgpinarli,
I never tried the bellows/copier with a digital DSLR. I'm not sure exactly which problem you may have run into, but this subject may have been addressed in this thread:

Thanks for the comment.

Having recently acquired the Bellows-A (but without the slide copier) I can attest that it certainly works on the K10D and the K-5, with two important caveats. First, you need an extension tube between the camera and bellows to be able to mount the camera. By itself the bellows won't quite fit. The #1 manual tube (9.5mm) is just enough for the K10D, barely enough for the K-5 although with fiddling required to mount it. Second, while you can use the supplied double-cable release to stop down the lens, it is of course the mechanical type and does not interface with a DSLR (well, I don't know about the istDS). It's still a convenience as you can focus, lock down the release, then take the exposure.

The Bellows-A is a great unit!

Hi Mbaker
Great link, thank you! They just point out my problems and create solutions
There is a definition about 1:1 copying the slides with a Pentax DSLR
