Lowepro Lenstrekker 600

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Lowepro Lenstrekker 600AW Backpack

Asking Price
125.00 + Shipping for the bag USD

Item Location
Utah (United States)

Item Description
It is with a heavy heart that I write this listing. I've really enjoyed this lens and sellers remorse, if there is such a thing, is going to follow me around for a while but I just can't keep this lens right now so I must sell it and resort to one of my former telephotos set ups to get the wildlife shots I enjoy taking.
This lens is in excellent condition and I have taken, what I believe to be, some stunning images with it. In the end that is what matters. Upon inspection you will see some paint loss on the prominent edges of the lens barrel and some slight discoloration of the lettering, it is not a brilliantly white as I am sure that it once was. When I got the lens I noticed a cleaning mark on the front element that seemed to have gone unnoticed until it got to me. This has not shown up in ANY of the photos I have taken and I am confident that it won't cause the future owner any problems either. The focusing ring turns smoothly, the aperture mechanism functions as it should and being an A series lens you retain in-body camera control of the aperture. The tripod mount rotates around the lens to allow you to switch to a portrait orientation if you wish. The polarizer tray locks into position and stays in place but it is empty as I have not been able to track down a Pentax polarizing filter for it. The lens hood extends and retracts as it should, though, with only one set screw it can be moved more easily than I like. The original leatherette front cap, rear cap and metal case are included in the sale. I have a 112mm Marumi protective filter on the front, if you would like it we can talk about that. I have a Lowepro lens trekker 600 backpack that I have been using for it that can also be had for an additional cost. This lens performs flawlessly but takes some getting used to. In the end if it doesn't perform though, like most failed relationships I can say with confidence, its not her, its you.
PM me with questions and I will answer them between the tears I am wiping from my face.

I am totally shocked with your ad re: selling it !

I just got a 150-500 .... this sure beats it by a long shot!

You and me both. In the last six months I've bought Sigma 150-500, SMC 500, and 1.7x AF Converter. For just a little more .....

This must be hard to part with.

Had I not bought a car last week I'd be all over this one.

I like it, it is much easier with a gimbal but I have done it hand held also. It is a long focal length and if you are not careful you can lose your subject though.

I've really enjoyed it and if I have a chance again in the future I would gladly buy another copy.

Yes, indeed, one of the few lenses that has not left me wanting more and that is hard to do.
