Pentax-A 35-105 F/3.5 - A terrific and wonderful quality lens. This heavy monster has been referred to as a "stack of primes." It is rated really well in the database and I personally compared it to the Pentax-M 85 F/2 and I believed it to take better pictures for portraits.
I have it because it came with a camera that I purchased last week on the forum. The lens is in fair/good condition. The outside has some heavy scratches on it. The glass is clean on the inside, but the front element has some light scratches on it. These are on the lower half of the front element. None of these effect the picture quality of this lens. The focus ring is not quite smooth, but focuses just fine. The aperture and the zoom rings are the same way. The functions work perfectly, but they are not as smooth as they should be. The rear mount ring is starting to brass and you can see all these things in the pictures. This lens will come with rear cap and a Hoya HMC UV(o) filter. Due to its condition I am selling it as a reduced price of:

Pentax FA 100-300 (Silver) - This lens is extremely light and was made in Taiwan so it isn't one of their "best" lenses. I am not sure why this didn't get the "J" designation because it has the plastic mount. Overall it is in good condition with one exception - the front filter ring has some deep scratches in it that shows the silver color (the ring is black). Filters go on just fine though. Focusing is SUPER FAST on this lens. The picture quality is good on it too, some say better than the DA 55-300. The glass is clean and focus and zoom and aperture work just fine.

First award I won from the Minnesota Newspaper Association was shot with the Pentax A 35-105. And I bought my beaten up copy that was in far worse condition than this beauty. Anyone that's on the fence with this lens, I hope I've made it easier to decide on.

Here are some more pictures and I have specified which one the FA 100-300 as there are two versions (one black with power zoom, and one silver without). This one is rated higher in the database.
