Ladies and gents, my fling with this lens is over.
This is a top quality ultra-wide angle lens that is Full Frame compatible, the kind of build and image quality you can expect with EX lenses.

It is priced to whet the LBA appetite but as you can see from the pictures, it is not in mint condition.
It has obvious scuff marks in the external body, the UV filter that is attached to the removable hood has been dinged but not damaging the glass or filter thread of the hood. The glass of the lens itself is pristine, no scratches, and I can only notice small specks of dust that do not affect image quality.

So, I realise that there is a risk of vignetting with filters - but can I just confirm, this lens DOES take filters, if you really want it to? And are they 82mm?

Also you have left the currency as USD and I feel like maybe you mean AUD... ?

Well, the two currencies are basically at parity. So it's $390 in both USD and AUD.
On the filter, yes, the removable filter hood, which fits snug over the in-built petal hood, takes 82mm filters, so the existing UV filter can be removed and a CP-L filter (for example) with an 82mm thread can be fitted straight on.
