Nice Pentax case for *ist D; K-X kit and *ist D are sold

Pentax K-X DSLR with DA-L 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL - $259 plus shipping Now $224 --> SOLD
Pentax *ist D with issues - $49 plus shipping SOLD
Pentax *ist D case (O-CC10) - $25 shipped Still Available

Shipping $15 for thr K-X kit in US. International shipping available, please ask about rates to your country. Lower offers will be considered, but a full price offer will take 'em. I won't mark as a "gift" for customs purposes, sorry. PayPal is the preferred payment method although I will consider other methods if you strongly prefer.

I went through a period of madness and was buying camera kits left and right. Alas, I can no longer see my desk, and my wife is asking too many questions. Spring cleaning time! Lots of excess gear to sell over the next few weeks. See below for the list.

The K-X is in very good condition, with minimal exterior signs of use and all normal operations working. It was Pentax's first camera to perform well at high ISO's besting the higher-end K7 in this way. I found the features and controls to be surprisingly similar to the K5. Live view and video are probably not as well implemented as on a K-01, but the camera does have a viewfinder. Shutter count is under 7,600. There are some bubbles on the rear screen protector, but I believe the underlying screen is fine. Included is the box from the kit and the DA-L 18-55mm lens, a decent performer for being pretty darn cheap. The lens has an off brand front cap, a UV filter and a rear cap. I have the manual and cards for the camera and lenses, but only the USB cable and no software. Strap is included on the camera, and a body cap. No DA-L 55-300mm in there despite what the box says, more's the pity. Sample shot (with a macro lens) shown below. Good be a good starter camera for someone, if you can lend them or help them download the Pentax Photos Utility.

The *ist D was sold to me as a DL in like new condition - have to love eBay. Its two major issues are that the pop-up flash does not work under any circumstances, and it is missing the rubber cover for the PC Terminal as shown below. Other than that it works just fine. I got an estimate to replace the flash circuit and put a new flap for $227, a bit much for this vintage camera. So if you are looking for a camera to convert to IR, or if you just want an old beater camera with a great 6MP CCD sensor (love the colors)and don't use the pop-up flash ever, this might be for you. It does have dual control wheels, supports TTL accessory flashes (plentiful and cheap because they are otherwise obsolete) and I believe can be tethered to a PC in a way that no current Pentax DSLR will do, but I have never tried. Included are the *ist strap, plastic body cover, paper manual and a 512 MB Compact Flash memory card, good for about 36 RAW shots - you may want to upgrade that. :-)

I also have a O-CC10 (B) case for the *ist D that is really cool and in great condition. Amazon is selling them for $68, and I would totally keep this or pick one up if it would fit my remaining cameras. It looks great, offers protection, doesn't require an extra strap, and dangles out of the way when you are shooting. If you want the *ist D and case I will sell both for $69 plus shipping.

All items can be returned if not as described for a full refund, but please read descriptions carefully and if you have specific concerns please ask questions first. Thanks for looking, and happy shopping! Nick

Kind of surprised no one wants the KX. Great little camera, seemingly priced to sell.

I'm sure someone will buy it. If I hadn't been through some recent financial emergencies I might snap it up. Good luck on the sale

I guess I should have sold the case with the *ist D. It is great, for anyone with a D running around naked!
