The 135 2.5 is nice, but what about that luscious MX?? Ivan has beautiful looking stuff.

I already have a more than adequate MX in fine condition, but that's the first camera I've held that made me want to become a collector.

I get first dibs if you ever decide to sell it!

LOL! In order to get my MX two conditions must be met: (1) I will have to die before you, and (2) you must be willing to do some digging!

seeing your MX prompted me to do some research on it and now I REALLY want to get my hands on one of those.

An alternative crap copy for the poor?

Not only is it a fine lens, you've kept it in excellent condition. I, too, have no funds at the moment I'm sure somebody in the forum will become a very happy person when they see this.

Ivan, thank you for your comments. I have looked at both the DA 100 and the DA* 50-135. I would love to have either lens but they are too rich for my blood at the moment and I would like another prime. I'll keep an eye out for the other ones you listed.
Well, I've procrastinated on posting a FS of my redundant equipment, but perhaps MacGirl, Miserere or others following this thread who don't have the cash for the good 135/2.5 might want my badly beat-up copy of the same lens for a suitably lesser price.

I could take this to a new FS thread, but the fact is I'm not even sure I want to sell it. I'm only mentioning it here because there seem to be some folk on this thread who are keen about the lens but can't afford the one on offer.

And certainly mine, being beat up, is in no way a competitor to the fine specimen on offer. So I trust no offense will be taken at mentioning my alternative.

I have the M42 of this lens and it is brilliant
Shame the K-mount M series version doesn't have the all-metal build of the M42 Super-Takumar 135/2.5. I got one, and the Pentax adapter, and sold it because I didn't like the adapter, but that lens was a beautiful thing.

Well, you can still buy it... for Frank. But once you see it, Frank would be at risk to never receive the lens or hear from you again! :-)
