I'm selling this NEW 50-135mm Pentax Lens including the B+W UV Filter. I purchased this lens for a trip to Africa in August '12. I had to cancel my trip due to an accident. The lens was mounted on my K-5 once but never used. I'm selling it to pay medical expenses my insurance didn't cover, otherwise I'd keep it myself. Obviously it's in perfect condition, stored in box in a smoke free home. I hate to part with the lens but that's life. I'm including the German UV Filter that was purchased for this lens.
It seems like everyone who has contacted me is asking about SDM failure. I was unaware of this issue until today so I took the lens out of the box, mounted it on my K-5 Silver Edition and tried the autofocus. It's working fine. I have no idea how to tell if this lens has the "fix" done. I understand in 2012 Pentax fixed the problem. This lens was purchased on August 21, 2012 from B&H Photo. The serial number is visible in the photos so you're welcome to check any database of serial numbers to see if this unit is "Post Fix". I can only say it works just fine and is brand new. It's been stored in the plastic bag with desiccant since I received it last August and has never been outside my home or backyard since purchased.
