Item Description
Pentax A 50 1.2 adapted for Canon EOS FF. This lens works great on Canon 5D Mark iii and 6D. You must use stop down metering because the aperture lever has been removed. You can remove the EOS adapter and this lens will work on Pentax cameras as well, with stop down metering. The aperture must be adjusted manually the A mode does not work. If you look of the pic of it mounted on the 5D Mark iii you can see it mounts slightly to the side so your aperture numbers are not dead center but just a bit to the side. There is screw that is stripped on the back, so if you plan to replace the aperture lever it's not going to happen.
Will trade for a FA 43 1.9 limited plus some cash on my end.

I'm still a little nervous someone will pretend to buy, just to get my address to send hate mail. I will say my Pentax M 35 F2 on my Canon FF is a dream come true. It's always been about the glass not the camera right

I must admit I've got this lens too (the SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2), but mine still functions as intended on Pentax equipment, my FF LX and various DSLR bodies too.

Had you come around before changing the mount around, I'm sure someone would've traded you an M series for this one. (Heck, grinding the M series lever is less of a travesty, since DSLRs use crippled K anyhow. Stop down metering might be preferred with that (At least AV works then))

Definitely get the lever replaced if possible. Eric might even be able to fix that roughed up rear element border.

Thanks for the advice everyone but I am not looking to "fix it". There are people on this forum that have FF Canon DSLR's and that's why I have it listed here. But I appreciate the input.

I avenged the loss of this lens... by dremeling a Nikon 55 f1.2 into a pseudo-K mount

shot at 1/8s, f2 or so, ISO 200

Why damage the A version like this? The K version costs half as much (about 240 EUR versus the 420 EUR of a fully working A) and the only difference is being destroyed in the act of crippling the aperture lever.

Also there is no need for the crippling at all, since by using liveview you can easily work with a non-crippled version on FF Canons.

Basically it makes more sense to shave off the mirror on the camera.

Using LV and non-cripped one, you are risking your mirror on the FF.
The bill can be costly.
