Item Description
I am putting this beautiful lens on the Marketplace after having been the most recent owner for a short while. (bought here in March 2013).
Reason for selling: I have decided to sell this one and a few other lenses (stay tuned for more very soon) and put the money toward a prime 500mm lens.

It is sharp at the long end, as you can tell from different pictures:

A few test shots from me:

Cooper Hawk and GoldenEyes; Castle and others:

The built-in OS is working great as expected and the HSM is very quiet (silent) and fast. I would dare saying that it is faster than the SDM on my DA*300/4. Quick-shift is also quite useful!
Focus did not require extra adjustment on my K5.
There have been reviews of this very same (the review is based on the lens being sold here) lens on this forum and I am pointing out to a specific review:
Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
As previously stated, there is a minor smudge on the hood and a scuff on the tripod mounting ring.

Comes with hood, caps, original box and case, paper, warranty documents.
I wrote "excellent" for the condition but you will find that it is really close to being "like new".
If you are Canadian, there is still 8 years left of warranty on it. Receipt copy available for the buyer.

Will be ready to ship out to the buyer within one week ... "family busy" with the preps for a nephew's wedding and a short (and well deserved) mini-vacation for my ife and myself.

I would be the guy that sold him the lens, and took those pictures. Not sure if my posting here will help or hinder, but this is a stellar copy and I think jpzk just hasn't spent enough time with it!

The 150-500 OS really is one of the best ways to get to 500mm on a Pentax, regardless of budget. I once compared this very lens side-by-side to the big Sigma 500/4.5, and the difference between them at f/9 wasn't enough for me to care. (Ah, but the difference at f/5.6... that's another story!)

FYI: the only reason I sold this lens to jpzk in the first place is because I bought a Sigma 50-500 OS and had Sigma Canada "tune it" to my K-5 so it equalled the 150-500 @500mm, but with a greater zoom range and a slightly smaller size (and $600 more in cash!). I could just as easily go right back to the 150-500, especially if I knew it would be this one.
