Sigma 400mm 1:5.6 Telephoto Multi-Coated Lens for Pentax

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 400mm 1:5.6 Telephoto Multi-Coated Lens for Pentax

Asking Price
175 EUR

Item Location
Warsaw (Poland)

Item Description
  • The lens can work with auto aperture ("A" setting on aperture ring), has manual focusing.
  • It is in very good condition - see pictures.
  • Glass is clean and clear, no scratches, no fungus, no fog. There are some tiny internal dust without influence on photo results.
  • The case, front and rear caps are original.
  • Mechanical functions:
    • Focus ring - works very smoothly.
    • Aperture ring - needs an explanation: This lens was Ricoh compatible and had the additional pin (opposite to the red point on the picture where the bayonet is visible). Ricoh pins are sources of problems in cooperation with Pentax's auto-focus bodies and usually they are being removed - it was removed in this particular copy. But it looks that in that case the small ball bearing (that stops the aperture ring at the various steps) has been lost accidentally. So the aperture ring works very good but without "clicking" when moving between different steps in manual mode. Certainly the aperture can be set on "A" and it's perfect.
