did you have more than one copy of this excellent zoom lens? I saw you sold one last month; I assume this isn't the same one?

I sold my copy early this year and have a bit of seller's remorse...

This is another copy that came in a package I recently bought for another lens that was in it (Spiratone 135mm f/1.8!). If anything, this one is slightly nicer than the last one, which the buyer was quite satisfied with.

Thanks for the clarification. Man, this is tempting me a lot. If someone else doesn't buy it from you, I just might!

If it helps, I am really enjoying your copy...
I bought an *istD and take it everywhere with the F35-70 + F28. Great combo!

Glad to hear it, at least I know it's being put to good use! I barely used it when I owned the lens and I think I might not have given it enough of a chance to prove itself to me. And I'm amazed at the beautiful pictures that PF members have taken with this zoom. I think an additional big selling point for me would be how compact and lightweight it is... grrr... I'm sure there are many users who have sold a lens and then turned around and bought it again because they missed it...

Could you post some pictures that you've taken with this lens?

I JUST took these with it. They show a variety of f-stops, zooms, etc. The last pic is a 100% crop from the tomatoes pic.
