This lens is very sharp at point of focus, both close and at infinity. Have very nice bokeh, opens to f/2, and super compact! I find from my collection that this is the lens that I use the most to have fun with, like taking pictures of friends and of my son, but also capable of performing very well at demanding situations. It has produced some of my best shots, and is very much worth the price of admission. I find that if I dont know what I might be shooting that day, I'll slap this on the k-x and it will handle basically anything  The diminutive size also allows subject to relax more than when I use a zoom.Lens has some hard-to-photograph internal dust and is "good" because it has a really tiny scratch on the front element (around the size of the tip of a newly sharpened pencil). It also lacks the serial number sticker, and the "A" letter in pentax is chipped as pictured, possibly from being in the bag of the previous owner.
