Item Description
I purchased this lens in 2012. Box and Pouch comes with it. I'm selling all my Pentax gear to upgrade to full frame.

I have not used this lens much, it is in excellent condition. It performs as expected, as I'm sure anyone interested has read in reviews, optical performance is ok but not exceptional, distortion is quite noticeable at the low end - but you get an incredible 8mm wide angle.

A couple of pictures: Parinacota Volcano in Chile @ 14mm and Atacama desert @ 10mm. Will try to post some 8mm shots later.

Several people asked for 8mm shots - I finally borrowed a friend's K5 while we were having a beer (I already sold my k5) and took the shot that I'm posting here. It was handheld in low light, ISO 400, F7.1 at 1/40s exposure. Below it is a 100% crop of the upper left corner.

I aimed the camera level towards the horizon, if you aim slightly up or down at 8mm focal length, you get quite a bit distortion (see third image) - which can give wanted or unwanted effects... 8mm is kind of a special effects focal length in my opinion.
