The lens is in excellent condition. I purchased it new in 2012. I'm switching to full frame.

I've always used a clear filter to protect the glass. If anybody who buys it wants a Bower 2X MC7 Teleconverter with it, I'll add that for an additional $25. I have that TC listed seperately for $75, it is basically brand new and the same as the Vivitar MC7.

I'd like to add that I do have test photos (chart) comparing this lens with a friend's 300mm Pentax and also with the Teleconverter and manual focus. On my tripod, the 200mm worked better than the 300mm and beat it in resolution even when cropped to match the 300mm angle, unless I used mirror lock-up.

I can post the pictures here if anyone is interested.

Here are some pictures, along with 100% crops. All the wildlife shots are handheld, F5 and ISO 800, I usually don't put much effort into wildlife photography, so I'm sure my technique isn't perfect. The picture of the rolling hills in the Palouse was taken on a tripod, F7.1, ISO 200.

Here are some crops. They are at 100% for the 200mm and the 300mm and the 200mm with Teleconverter is less than 100% to match or allow comparison with the 300mm. Note that this test was done with F11 and about a 1 second long exposure, because I tested the teleconverter for shooting landscapes in the palouse:

1. 200mm (the one I'm selling here)
2. 200mm with the 2x Teleconverter (available for $25 with the lens - it's about $130 new but the autofocus doesn't work on the 200mm lens... well, it tries to... and it isn't like I got a bad Teleconverter, it doesn't work because Bower / Vivitar is crap. Still usable in manual mode though and it does work for some other lenses)
3. 300mm

All shot on a tripod with mirror lock-up.
