Yeah thought I'd give any local buyers first dibs, as the local supply of good second hand glass isn't huge and I've pretty much always had to buy overseas myself, but I've replied to your PM.

Makes sense, international sales are always a little more involved.

I looked for one of these for a couple of years always just missing out I finally got one in mint condition from California. Was it worth the $825.00 USD we where ahead then so it worked out $740.00 AUD I can only say it was to me.

I can't imagine someone in the Land of Oz won't grab it - I've been watching for the past year, since I got my K-30, and these just don't come up. I bought the non-APO AF 400mm and like it, but the IQ of photos I've seen from these lenses is awesome (ok, a lot of that comes from the photographers, too...). I'm also interested if you're willing to sell/ship overseas. Alas, I admit Littledrawe would put it to far better use - I saw some of his pictures when he sold a Tamron Adaptall telephoto lens recently.

I'm in Oz and would love to get it just not in financial position to do it. If it's there in a week and I've sold some of my lenses by then then I'll be all over it!

Put me in as a buyer for what looks like third in line if it does not sell in Australia and you would consider shipping to the US.

Thanks

Hi, I'm interested in buying this lens. Will send you a private message as soon as I get a permission from the system to do that - I'm new to this forum, and need to make two posts in order to have the private messaging enabled.

I've had a few inquiries via PM and looks like a local Australian buyer will end up with the lens.

And regarding the lens itself, I've had some pretty good results with it, and there's not too many options out there if you want to go over 300mm focal length, on a budget. I'm only selling it because I've got a replacement lens that's kinda made it redundant (in focal length and aperture only. At least this Sigma 400/5.6 can be hand held, my new one comes with its own set of problems and needs its own support system!)

I knew someone from Oz had to step up. And, somehow, things come in 2's. There just was one listed on eBay in the US for US$550 shipped. No case, I assume, as the photos didn't show one. It was listed about 12 hrs. ago and somehow didn't sell till, er, just now. I hope my wife doesn't kill me, but soon I can probably sell my Sigma 400mm AF non-APO to defray some of the cost.
