The screen is super precision matte everywhere except the center and allows extremely precise manual focusing anywhere on the screen without re-composing and also has a traditional split prism in the center. It also has composition grid lines (explanation here). The screen doesn't photograph well, but the screen pattern looks similar like this:  I had great success focusing my f/1.4 lenses with this screen. It's in good condition. It has some fine scratches at the handling tab, from the included tweezers, which are not visible in the viewfinder. That's why the tab is there.
