Too bad it's not an SMC-A, then I would have considered it. I am looking for some wide-angle - but then, I might just fork out another $100 or so and go for a DA21. Hope Pentax starts another rebate promotion soon.

What can you say about the image quality? Is it good on digital?

It's a very sharp lens, it render's very beautiful images.

I used it on digital as on a MX, great kit, MX+M20 very compact kit for landscape photography.

This looks like a cool lens. Although I can't buy it from you, would you mind posting some pictures taken with it?

I've just taken a few photos and added them here.

I'll try to take a few better shots tomorrow, it's getting dark here.

Do you think it's better than CZJ Flektogon 20mm ?
Like MS7 i plan a wide angle.
So we have DA 21mm,the flek and Pentax 20mm(A or M) is there another one ?

Hi Faust - I had the CZJ Flektogon 20mm in my hands a few weeks ago. A local dealer gave it to me for an afternoon to test it. I have mixed feelings about it. First, it is M42 and rather big (but f/2.8!) and second, I had the feeling that I cound not call it "tack sharp". Now whether this was a lens issue or a M42-wide-angle-to-digital-sensor issue I don't know. Also, the mechanics is not what you are used to from SMC-M and K lenses. I gave it a miss although it was cheaper than the Portuguese M 20/4. I heard good things about it on digital though. Please don't ask for image samples - I don't have them anymore. For my own part, I will stick to Pentax when possible.

Maybe it is a good idea to open a new thread in the lens section for follow-on discussions. Let's keep this a marketplace thread.

What a mean lot, it's worth the money buy it. Ok so I have one allready, it's the only "M" lens that I use a lot it's tiny possibly even smaller than the M series 50mm F1.7 and so the camera seems almost to have no lens on it at all. Colours come out beautifully and it works on film what more do you want ? I suspect that the 21mm limited is just this design brought a bit more up to date. Has anyone tried the 21mm on film ?

Thanks for the pictures, pornflake. They are nice and sharp and I believe it is a really good lens. I did not intend to sound "mean", if some of us conceived my comments as that, then here are my apologies. Good luck with selling!

No I wasn't commenting on the replies just the fact that nobody has snapped it up yet. No offence intended

I created a new thread on the lens section.

You can continue to talk there.
