Item Description
I have decided to sell my Sigma 180mm F3.5 APO EX DG IF Macro lens because I dont really use it enough ... and I need the money to finance something else.

I bought it locally in Québec, Canada, from the original user along with my fisrt DLSR kit I bought. There is still 6 years of Canadian warranty on it (originally bought in March 2009). Serial# 4014340

This spring, it was sent to Sigma Canada Service center (Gentec International) to have it cleaned & calibrated with my K-5 because someone here in the PF told me they do that for free while it is under warranty (I also sent my other Sigma lense for the same reason). Just wanted to make sure everything was top notch.


I am asking 1100$ CDN net (+ shipping + paypal/Interac fees assumed by the buyer).
Pickup possible.
Shipping should be around 50$ via Canada Post, around 80$ to the USA (including Tracking, signature, insurance)

It comes with the original box, case, strap and waranty paper + original invoice

Only has VERY LIGHT marks at one place on the barrel surface and on the hood... Other than that it is perfect !

A very good to great lens. If you are only remotely interested in either close-up or macro photography this is the lens to have. Big, sturdy and tack sharp. I have one and it my go to lens for most of my work.

Another vote of confidence for this fine lens. I have thoroughly enjoyed my copy and intend to keep it for years to come. Someone should snap up this lens.

Somewhat separately, a few months ago on this forum I mused that PF should consider how to set up a forum rental system. Rarer lenses such as this (and the FA* 28-70, and others) could be rented from members to members. I know I don't get as much use out of my 180 as I could, and I know that there are people who would enjoy a week with that lens. There are, of course, serious issues to think through before any rental system would be feasible, but if it could work....
